Specialist 'OO' gauge ready-to-run manufacturer OO Works has revealed the first images of its Great Northern Railway (Ireland) 'UG' class 0-6-0 tender engine (HM104). The 'UG' was announced along with the 'U' 4-4-0.

News: Drax launches cab ride competition

Drax Power has launched a competition to win a cab ride on one of its biomass trains to experience its journey to deliver compressed wood pellets from one of its four ports. The winner will also receive a set of two limited edition Hornby biomass wagons and a tour of the biomass unloading facilities.

News: Dean Goods, Mk 3s and new wagons from Oxford

Oxford Rail has revealed that it is developing a new 'OO' gauge ready-to-run model of the GWR 'Dean Goods' 0-6-0 for release towards the end of 2016. The announcement came at the London Toyfair on January 24-26 along with three new wagons and a collection of BR Mk 3 carriages.

News: Peco announce new bullhead track for 'OO'

Peco has announced that it will introduce new code 75 bullhead flexible track for 'OO' gauge with increased and more accurate sleeper spacing. The news came at the Nurnberg Toyfair in Germany where the manufacturer took the opportunity to announce several new products for 2016.

News: Golden Valley showcase 'Janus'

The first engineering samples of Golden Valley Hobbies (GVH) new 'OO' gauge model of the Yorkshire Engine Co 'Janus' 0-6-0 diesel shunter have been revealed. The model is being produced exclusively for GVH by Oxford Rail and was announced at the Warley exhibition in November 2015.
