The Basingstoke and North Hants Model Railway Society (BNHMRS) is preparing for its annual model railway exhibition on the weekend of March 10/11 2018. 20 layouts including Hornby Magazine’s Twelve Trees Junction will be at the event together with 23 trade stands and five societies.
The show marks Twelve Trees’ first outing for 2018 for Hornby Magazine – and its first on ‘home’ Southern Region turf. The Hornby Magazine editorial team will be with the layout throughout the weekend displaying its wide selection of Southern Region steam, diesel and electric motive power together with the latest additions to the roster.
The event is held at Aldworth Science College in Basingstoke (postcode RG22 6HQ) with doors open from 10am-5pm on Saturday March 10 and from 10am-4pm on Sunday March 11. Refreshments are available on site together with free parking and the majority of the show has level access. Prices are £6 for adults, £3 for children and £14 for a family (two adults and three children).
Layout highlights include Hassell Hill Colliery by the Alsager Railway Association in ‘O’ gauge, Wheal Kate in ‘OO’ by Romsey and District Railway Modellers Society, Portland modelling the 1990s on the Southern in 4mm scale and more.
