Hatton’s has commissioned a pair of limited edition ‘O’ gauge disc headcode Class 20s from Heljan to mark 60 years since the English Electric Type 1s entered traffic with British Railways in 1957.
The two models will be based on Heljan’s 2010 released disc headcode version of the Class 20 in a choice of BR Railfreight red stripe and BR blue liveries. This will be the first time that the disc headcode version of the ‘O’ gauge Class 20 has been available in Railfreight colours.
Each will be limited to 100 pieces and priced at £599 per locomotive. Delivery is expected towards the end of 2017.
